  • Duine spóirt Éireannach as Contae Chorcaí é Séamus de Barra-Ó Murchú (Béarla: Jimmy Barry-Murphy), a rugadh i mBaile an Easpaig ar an 2 Lúnasa, 1954. "Dé-imreoir" a bhí ann, a d'imir le foirne iomána agus peile Chorcaí agus an club Naomh Fionnbarra. Tá sé ar dhuine de na himreoirí is rathúla agus cáiliúla a tháinig as an gcontae riamh, agus is iomaí duaiseanna atá buaite aige sa dá spórt. Feictear air mar laoch spóirt an chontae, mar gheall ar an méid atá bainte amach aige mar imreoir. (ga)
