Hampton railway station is located on the Sandringham line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the south-eastern Melbourne suburb of Hampton, and it opened on 2 September 1887. It was renamed Retreat on 1 October 1887, and was renamed back to Hampton on 10 September 1889. Boom barriers replaced interlocked gates at the Hampton Street level crossing, located at the south (Down) end of the station, in 1966. The signal box was also abolished during this time. The station buildings were reconstructed in 1975.
