Guardian Bank, whose full name is Guardian Bank Limited, is a commercial bank in Kenya with headquarters in Nairobi. It is licensed by Central Bank of Kenya, the central bank and national banking regulator. As of December 2018, the bank was a medium-sized retail bank, with an asset base totaling approximately KSh.16.186 billion/= (US$157.4 million), and shareholders' equity of about KSh.2.557 billion/= (US$24.87 million). Figures from the previous year ranked Guardian, with a market share of 0.40%, the 26th largest Kenyan bank among 43 licensed financial institutions in its class.
