Gran Encantat is a mountain peak of Catalonia, Spain. Located in the Pyrenees, it is the higher of the two peaks (the other being the Petit Encantat) of the Els Encantats mountain, with an altitude of 2,748 metres (9,016 ft) above sea level. It is the tallest point on the Els Encantas twin peaks, the shorter being Petit Encantat, which at 2,733 metres (8,967 ft) is only 12 metres (39 ft) shorter than Gran Encantat. Gran Encantat towers over the picturesque reservoir of Estany de Sant Maurici, and to the east Pica d'Estats (the tallest mountain in Catalonia) can be seen. Gran Encantat is also an incredible climbing destination, with many people climbing, hiking and scrambling in the summer. The mountain is ideal for these activities as it is around 5 kilometres from the small town of Espot.

La punta est (el Petit Encantat) té 2.734,3 metres d'altitud i el Gran Encantat 2.748,7 metres, i són separats per una gran bretxa o enforcadura a 2.630,7 metres. El Gran Encantat està inclòs al llistat dels 100 cims de la FEEC. Petrogràficament, la part alta de la vall de l'Escrita majoritàriament és formada del mateix granit normal de l'eix axial pirinenc (el batòlit de la Maladeta); malgrat això, aquests dos pics són de roca calcària del Devonià on podem observar l'estratificació original en aquest tipus de roca. La qualitat de la roca no gaire bona, des del punt de vista alpinístic, però que ha donat lloc a eixes espectaculars agulles. (ca)
