| - Funeral for a Friend (coneguda també per les sigles FFAF) és un grup de post-hardcore procedent de Bridgend, Gal·les, on va ser formada l'any 2001. Originalment la banda es va anomenar January Thirst, però després de l'arribada de Matt Davies a finals de 2001 es va adoptar el nom actual. Després de tres àlbums d'estudi, la banda llançarà el seu quart disc mitjançant el seu propi segell, Join Us. FFAF és un dels grups més importants del post-hardcore actual del Regne Unit. (ca)

Od jejího vzniku skupinou prošlo více hudebníků, jedinými stálými členy zůstali zpěvák Matthew Davies-Kreye a kytarista Kris Coombs-Roberts. Svou první nahrávku, čtyřpísňové EP Between Order and Model, skupina vydala v roce 2002. První dlouhohrající album následovalo v příštím roku. Do roku 2015 skupina vydala dalších šest řadových alb a několik EP. Kapela se rozpadla roku 2016. Své poslední koncerty odehrála v květnu toho roku. (cs)

Początkowo zespół nazywał się January Thirst, jednak po odejściu pierwszego wokalisty Michaela Daviesa (obecnie należy do zespołu "Makeshift Truth") w grudniu 2001, Matthew Evans (wtedy wokalista) i Johnny Phillips (perkusja) zaprosili Matta Daviesa na wolne miejsce wokalisty. Niedługo po przyłączeniu się Matta zmienili nazwę na Funeral for a Friend, wziętej od piosenki zespołu . 12 lipca grupa wystąpiła na "Eko Union of Rock" w Węgorzewie. (pl)
