- Το Ευρωπαϊκό Δίκτυο Μετανάστευσης (European Migration Network) είναι ένα δίκτυο που χρηματοδοτεί η Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση, το οποίο συστάθηκε με σκοπό την παροχή έγκυρων, αντικειμενικών, αξιόπιστων και συγκρίσιμων πληροφοριών σε θέματα της μετανάστευσης και του ασύλου προς τα Θεσμικά Όργανα της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης, καθώς επίσης και προς τις εθνικές αρχές και όργανα των Κρατών Μελών της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης, με απώτερο στόχο τη συνεισφορά στην χάραξη πολιτικής μέσω της παροχής πληροφοριών. Το ΕΔΜ έχει επίσης ως στόχο την παροχή της συγκεκριμένης πληροφόρησης στο ευρύτερο κοινό. Το ΕΔΜ ιδρύθηκε στις 14 Μαΐου 2008, με την απόφαση 2008/381/ΕΚ του Συμβουλίου της ΕΕ. (el)
- The European Migration Network (EMN) is an EU funded network, set up with the aim of providing up-to-date, objective, reliable and comparable information on migration and asylum for Institutions of the European Union, plus authorities and institutions of the Member States of the European Union, in order to inform policymaking. The EMN also serves to provide the wider public with such information. The EMN was established by the Council of the European Union Decision 2008/381/EC adopted on 14 May 2008. (en)

Informationen som EMN tillhandahåller riktar sig också till allmänheten. Efter en pilotfas som startades 2003 fattade Europeiska unionens råd under 2008 beslut om att inrätta EMN som en permanent expertgrupp. Den rättsliga grunden är sedan dess rådets beslut av den 14 maj 2008 om inrättande av ett europeiskt migrationsnätverk (2008/381/EG).
