Dakota MRT station is an underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the Circle line in Geylang planning area, Singapore, next to Geylang River. Located along Old Airport Road between the junctions of Jalan Dua and Dakota Crescent, Dakota station took its name from the Dakota DC-3 aircraft that used to frequently land at the former Kallang Airport. Pembangunan Stasiun Dakota dan jalur rel yang dekat dengan Old Airport Road antara Cassia Link dan Guillemard Camp Road membuat jalan ini harus ditutup saat pembangunan sejak Maret 2006. Untuk itu Jalan Tiga diperpanjang ke Guillemard Road untuk memberi jalan ke persimpangan disana. Sebagai tambahan Guillemard Camp Road dilebarkan agar bus bisa lewat. Meski telah dilebarkan, beberapa kecelakaan terjadi dekat simpang tiga Guillemard Road dan Guillemard Camp Road. Setelah pembangunan selesai jalan dibuka kembali pada 29 Desember 2008 pukul 17:00. Dibangun sebagai bagian dari Tahap 2 Jalur Lingkar bersama dengan Stasiun MRT Nicoll Highway, berada di tengah perumahan HDB dan seperjalanan kaki dengan beberapa sekolah. Stasiun ini melayani banyak penduduk di daerah ini sejak dibuka pada 17 April 2010. Penggemar kuliner yang tinggal jauh dari tempat ini juga berdatangan lewat stasiun ini karena ada pusat jajanan kaki lima Old Airport Road Hawker Centre yang terkenal. Stasiun Dakota dekat dengan Stasiun MRT Mountbatten, terletak di jalan yang sama dan melayani Old Kallang Airport Estate dan penduduk yang tinggal sepanjang Dunman Road. (in)
