Cariquima is a highland town in Chile. The town is a few kilometers south of Colchane, in the Tarapacá Region of Chile. It can be found on the slopes of Nevado Cariquima or Mama Huanapa. It is a central meeting point for Aymara indigenous communities. The town has a clinic, a school, electricity (during the afternoons) and an airport which was built by the Chilean Air Force in 2003. The church in Cariquima is the oldest architectural building in the town since 2006 which also serves as a historical monument. Cariquima also has a nearby river.

- Cariquima es un pueblo altiplánico, a pocos kilómetros al sur de Colchane, en la región de Tarapacá, Chile, en las faldas del Nevado Cariquima o Mama Huanapa. Es punto central de encuentro de comunidades indígenas aymaras. El pueblo cuenta con servicios, posta de primeros auxilios, escuela, luz eléctrica (durante las tardes) y aeródromo, este último construido por la Fuerza Aérea de Chile en año 2003. Actualmente viven pocas personas, las cuales son de ascendencia indígena. El colegio de Cariquima cuenta solo con alumnos de educación básica. En cuanto a arquitectura, destaca la antigua iglesia, declarada monumento histórico el año 2006. Cerca del poblado corre el Río Cariquima. (es)
