Caio Kai Koch-Weser (born July 25, 1944 in Rolândia, Brazil) is a German economist, civil servant and business executive. He was Secretary of State in the Federal Ministry of Finance 1999–2005. Prior to becoming Secretary of State, he served in the World Bank in a number of positions for 26 years, from 1991–1999 as Vice President and from 1996–1999 as Managing Director of Operations. He is now a Vice Chairman and senior adviser with Deutsche Bank.

  • Caio Koch-Weser (Rolândia, 25 de julho de 1944) é um político teuto-brasileiro. Nascido no norte do Paraná de pais alemães, mudou para a Alemanha com 17 anos. Foi vice-presidente e diretor do Banco Mundial e secretário de Estado para as Finanças do governo alemão. Atualmente é vice-chefe e conselheiro sênior do Deutsche Bank. Também é membro do conselho do Blum Center for Developing Economiesna Universidade da California, Berkeley. Seu avô foi um político alemão durante a República de Weimar. Emigrou 1933 para o Brasil, para Rolândia, por motivo da perseguição aos descendentes de judeus. (pt)
