- Lienu Zhuan (Vite di donne) è stato realizzato da Liu Xiang nel periodo degli Han Occidentali, un periodo che garantisce alla Cina un regime di relativa stabilità. Quest'opera è divisa in 7 libri. I primi sei sono dedicati a 89 protagoniste che si sono distinte per i loro ottimi comportamenti e per tale motivo sono state innalzate al rango di paradigma per i posti. Il settimo libro è invece dedicato a 15 donne perverse, che costituiscono modelli da evitare in toto. Realizzando quest'opera, l'autore intende codificare il ruolo della donna, garantendone l'edificazione morale. (it)
- ( 중국의 명나라 시절 편찬된 열녀전에 대해서는 문서를 참고하십시오.) 열녀전(列女傳)은 중국 전한 시기의 사람인 유향이 편찬한 책으로, 여성의 활약한 기록을 모아서 엮은 역사서. 여성의 모범이 될만한 인물에 대하여 담고있어서, 여성에게 가르치는 훈육서의 성격이 강하다. 유향의 원저서는 7편으로 구성, 후에 본문 7편을 상편과 하편으로 나누어서 편집하고, 송(頌) 1권을 가미한 전 15권으로 구성되었고, 여학자 반소(班昭)의 주석이 더해진 유흠(劉歆)의 열녀전이 전해졌다. 현재 유통되는 통용본은 남송(南宋) 때 채기(蔡驥)라는 인물이 재편집하여 책에서, 원래의 열녀전 7권에 송(頌) 편을 나누어서 속열녀전(続列女傳) 8권으로 구성하였다. 그리고 다른 판본으로는 송나라 시절 사람인 방회가 7권으로 간추린 것도 있다. 한나라의 반소(班昭)와 마융(馬融), 오나라(吳) 사람 우위(虞韙)의 아내 조씨(趙氏), 진나라 기무수(綦毋邃)의 주석이 있었지만, 모두 흩어져 없어져 버렸다. 남아 있는 주석이 달린 열녀전 판본은 청나라의 왕조원(王照圓) 고열녀전보주(古列女傳補注), 고광기(顧廣圻)의 고열녀전고증(古列女傳考証), 양단(梁端)의 열녀전교주(列女傳校注)등이 있다. - 《列女传》，是一部介绍中国古代妇女行為的書籍。作者是西汉的儒家学者刘向，不过也有人认为该书不是刘向所作，因此，目前通行的版本中，部份版本的作者一处会标注佚名。也有人認為，现在流传的版本是后人在刘向所作版本上又增加若干篇得来的。 《列女传》共分七卷：母仪传、贤明传、仁智传、贞顺传、节义传、辩通传和孽嬖传。西汉时期，外戚势力强大，宫廷动荡多有外戚影子。刘向认为“王教由内及外，自近者始”，即王教应当从皇帝周边的人开始教化，因此写成此书，以劝谏皇帝、嫔妃及外戚。《列女传》选取的故事体现了儒家对妇女的看法，其中有一些所赞扬的内容在现今看来是对妇女的不公平的待遇。 《列女传》对后世影响很大。有一些故事流传至今，如“孟母三迁”的故事即出自该书。后来，中国的史书多有专门的篇章记叙各朝妇女事跡，随着妇女观的变化，各朝侧重记叙表彰的妇女德行也有所不同。 (zh)
- Liexian Zhuan va ser un llibre escrit per Liu Xiang el 18 aC que contenia biografies de dones xineses cèlebres, aplegades amb un propòsit moral i polític. Les fonts són els clàssics de la historiografia xinesa antiga i els afegitons dels professors coetanis a Xiang, propers al confucianisme. L'èxit de l'antologia va provocar que s'usés com a llibre d'educació per a dones i que fos un dels més copiats del seu temps. L'estil imita les vides dels Registres del Gran Historiador. (ca)
