Beyliks of Canik (Turkish: Canik beylikleri) is a name given to a group of small Turkoman principalities in northern Anatolia during the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries. Anthony Bryer connects the toponyme Chanik with the name "Chani" which the Laz people call themselves.
