Elle a lieu du 10 au 25 juin 1917 au mont Ortigara, en Italie. (fr) La battaglia del monte Ortigara fu combattuta dal 10 al 29 giugno 1917 tra l'esercito italiano e quello austro-ungarico sull'altopiano dei Sette Comuni, durante la prima guerra mondiale. Lo scontro vide impegnata la 6ª Armata italiana del generale Ettore Mambretti, che attaccò in forze il settore austro-ungarico difeso dall'11ª Armata del generale Viktor von Scheuchenstuel. Seppur oggigiorno l'attacco viene ricordato soprattutto per le cruente schermaglie che impegnarono gli Alpini per il possesso del monte Ortigara, era stato invece congegnato per riconquistare le vaste porzioni di territorio perse sull'altopiano durante la Frühjahrsoffensive ("offensiva di primavera") austro-ungarica del maggio 1916. (it) Битва при Монте-Ортигара — сражение между итальянскими и австро-венгерскими войсками состоявшееся 10 — 23 июня 1917 года во время Первой мировой войны. Битва при Монте-Ортигара, началась сразу же после завершения Десятой битвы при Изонцо. Итальянское командование ставило задачу овладеть горой Монте-Ортигара, у Асиаго. Наступление велось силами четырёх корпусов 6-й армии. С 10 июня бои велись в трудных горных условиях. Однако все попытки улучшить позиции на этом участке австро-итальянского фронта оказались безуспешными. (ru)
