| - Alfonso Lastras Ramírez (November 30, 1924 – December 25, 1999) was a Mexican lawyer and politician. He was born in the city of San Luis Potosí to a Spanish father and Mexican mother. His elementary studies were made at the Instituto Potosino. During the course of these studies he was invited by the maristas to study in France. He accepted their offer but at the outbreak of World War II decided to return to Mexico in the Orinoco Ship. On September 20, 1986, he was elected rector of the UASLP to replace José de Jesús Rodríguez Martínez, a position in which he served until January 4, 1995. (en)
- Alfonso Lastras Ramírez (1924-1999) nació el 30 de noviembre de 1924 en la ciudad de San Luis Potosí. Sus padres fueron Juan Lastras Arce (español) y Guadalupe Ramírez Igueravide (mexicana). Tuvo tres hermanos. Realizó sus estudios primarios en el Instituto Potosino (1932-1938). Estando allí, fue invitado por los maristas a estudiar en Francia, pero a los 14 años de edad, en tiempos de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, prefirió regresar a México en el , último barco que zarpó del puerto de Hamburgo debido a la guerra. Obtuvo su grado de Bachiller en Ciencias Sociales el 28 de febrero de 1948. (es)
