Alexander Marcus Hooks (August 29, 1906 – June 19, 1993) was an American professional baseball player. He had a 17-season (1928–1943; 1946) career in minor league baseball, and appeared in 15 Major League games as a first baseman and pinch hitter for the Philadelphia Athletics during the 1935 season. A native of Edgewood, Texas, he threw and batted left-handed, stood 6 feet 1 inch (1.85 m) tall and weighed 183 pounds (83 kg). Hooks attended Southern Methodist University. Hooks also briefly managed in the minors, with the 1938 Montreal Royals and the 1946 Greenville Majors.
