| - كأس العرب 2012 هي النسخة التاسعة من بطولة كأس العرب لكرة القدم وقد استضافت مدينتا جدة والطائف في السعودية في الفترة بين من 22 يونيو إلى 6 يوليو 2012 للمرة الثانية بعد بطولة 1985 بتنظيم من الاتحاد العربي لكرة القدم. فاز منتخب المغرب بالبطولة للمرة الأولى. شهدت البطولة عودة منتخب العراق الأكثر نجاحا للبطولة بحصوله على أربعة ألقاب متتالية بعد غياب استمر خمسة وعشرين سنة بسبب حرب الخليج الثانية. - The 2012 Arab Cup (Arabic: كأس العرب 2012) was the ninth edition of the Arab Cup for national football teams affiliated with the Union of Arab Football Associations (UAFA). The tournament was hosted by Saudi Arabia between 22 June and 6 July 2012. It is the second time that the nation has hosted the tournament, the first being in 1985. This edition witnessed the return of Iraq – the most successful team and record holder of the Arab Cup with four titles – after a 25-year absence due to the Gulf War. (en)
- 2012 wurde der Arabische Nationenpokal zum neunten Mal ausgespielt. Dieser Wettbewerb wurde in Saudi-Arabien ausgetragen. Die Spiele fanden zwischen dem 22. Juni und 6. Juli 2012 in Dschidda und aṭ-Ṭā'if statt. Bereits 1985 war Saudi-Arabien Gastgeber gewesen.Nach dem Angriff des Irak auf Kuwait 1990 war der Irak ausgeschlossen gewesen. Bei diesem Turnier nahm das Land nach 25 Jahren Abwesenheit wieder an diesem Turnier teil. Die Mannschaften spielten in einem Ligasystem in drei Gruppen gegeneinander.
