The 2011 Monte Carlo Rally, officially 79ème Rallye Automobile de Monte-Carlo was the first round of the 2011 Intercontinental Rally Challenge (IRC) season. The rally took place between January 19–22, 2011. The event marked the centenary of the creation of the Monte Carlo Rally, which was first held on January 21, 1911.

De start was in Valence en de finish vond plaats in Monte Carlo. Regerend IRC-kampioen Juho Hänninen domineerde tot halverwege de tweede dag het evenement. Een omslag in de weersomstandigheden zorgde voor een opschudding in het klassement, waar het dat meerdere deelnemers zich vergist hadden in de juiste bandenkeuze. Officiële Peugeot-rijder Bryan Bouffier nam hierdoor de leiding over van Hänninen, die terugviel tot buiten de top vijf. Bouffier consolideerde vervolgens naar de overwinning toe. Freddy Loix eindigde net als twee jaar daarvoor als tweede in de rally, terwijl Bouffiers teamgenoot Stéphane Sarrazin oorspronkelijk de derde plek bezette, die hij echter verloor aan kampioenschapskandidaat Guy Wilks, door na de laatste proef te laat in te klokken (via team orders) en daarmee een straftijd te incasseren. Een verrassende vijfde plek was er voor François Delecour, die onder meer profiteerde van de wisselende weersomstandigheden. Reguliere WK-rijder Petter Solberg deed een gastoptreden voor Peugeot, dat uiteindelijk teleurstellend afliep met een opgave op de verbindingsroute na de slot proef. (nl)

Była to pierwsza runda IRC w tamtym roku oraz pierwsza asfaltowa. Bazą rajdu było miasto Monte Carlo. Zwycięzcami rajdu została francuska załoga Bryan Bouffier i Xavier Panseri jadąca Peugeotem 207 S2000. Wyprzedzili oni Belgów Freddy'ego Loixa i w Škodzie Fabii S2000 oraz Brytyjczyków Guya Wilksa i w Peugeocie 207 S2000. Z rajdu odpadło kilku czołowych zawodników. Były mistrz świata, Norweg Petter Solberg, jadący Peugeotem 207 S2000 ukończył wszystkie odcinki specjalne zajmując 7. miejsce, jednak nie dojechał do mety rajdu w wyniku awarii alternatora. Na 2. odcinku specjalnym odpadł również jego brat, Henning Solberg w Fordzie Fieście S2000, a także rodak, Andreas Mikkelsen w Škodzie Fabii S2000. Obaj mieli awarię zawieszenia w swoich samochodach. Na 4. oesie wypadek miał Portugalczyk Bruno Magalhães w Peugeocie 207 S2000. Na 2. oesie wycofał się Szwed Per-Gunnar Andersson w Protonie Satrii Neo S2000, który miał awarię zawieszenia. Z kolei na 1. oesie z powodu wypadków odpadli Belg Thierry Neuville w Peugeocie 207 S2000 i Australijczyk Chris Atkinson w Protonie Satrii Neo S2000. (pl)
