| - Vera Pearl Little-Augustithis (December 10, 1928 – October 24, 2012) was an American contralto and mezzo-soprano opera singer who belonged to the ensemble of the Deutsche Oper Berlin for more than four decades. She performed each of the important mezzo-soprano roles of the repertoire, appearing at major international opera houses and festivals. She took part in world premieres of operas by Hans Werner Henze, in 1965 Der junge Lord in Berlin and in 1966 Die Bassariden at the Salzburg Festival. (en)
- Vera Little (Memphis, 10 de desembre de 1928 - Berlín, 26 d'octubre de 2012) fou una mezzosoprano estatunidenca, que va pertànyer al conjunt de la durant més de quatre dècades. Com a mezzosoprano, va cantar tots els papers importants en el seu camp. El 1950 va guanyar en un concurs d'òpera de Munic. Després de graduar-se al Talladega College de Talladega, Alabama, el 1952, va anar a París amb una beca Fulbright. El 1958 va portar Carl Ebert a Berlín a la llavors anomenada Städtische Oper Berlin de Kantstraße. Allí va debutar en el paper principal de Carmen. Va aparèixer com a primera cantant de color per invitació de al Vaticà davant del papa Joan XXIII, fet que la va fer coneguda internacionalment.
