- Tino Wenzel (* 18. Dezember 1973 in Ibbenbüren) ist ein deutscher Sportschütze. Er tritt in der Disziplin Wurfscheibenschießen (Flinte) an. Tino Wenzel ist Metallbauer und mit der Sportschützin Christine Wenzel verheiratet. Der Hobbyjäger startet für den SSC Schale und wird von Wilhelm Metelmann trainiert. Im Jahr 2000 wurde er in Montecatini bei den Europameisterschaften Sechster. Den nächsten größeren Erfolg erreichte er erst 2003, als er in Neu-Delhi Dritter im Weltcup wurde. Die EM 2004 in Latsia beendete er als Achter, im Jahr darauf wurde er in Belgrad Fünfter. 2006 gewann Wenzel in Suhl einen Weltcup, beim Weltcup-Finale in Granada belegte er Rang vier. Mit einem sechsten Platz beim Weltcup von Kerrville konnte er sich 2008 für die Olympischen Sommerspiele von Peking qualifizieren. Er belegte dort mit 68 von 75 erreichbaren Wurfscheiben den 25. He won a gold medal for the men's skeet shooting at the 2006 ISSF World Cup in Suhl, and bronze at the 2003 ISSF World Cup in New Delhi, India, accumulating scores of 145 and 147 targets, respectively. Wenzel is also the husband of Olympic bronze medalist Christine Brinker. At age thirty-four, Wenzel made his official debut for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where he competed in the men's skeet shooting, along with his teammate Axel Wegner. He finished only in thirteenth place by one point ahead of Italian shooter and former Olympic champion Ennio Falco from the final attempt, for a total score of 117 targets. (en)
