- ينشأ العصب القلبي العلوي من فرعين أو أكثر من العقدة الرقبية العلوية ويتلقى أحياناً ليفاً من الجذع عند مروره بين العقدتين الرقبيتين الأولى والثانية. يسير العصب القلبي العلوي نحو أسفل العنق خلف الشريان السباتي الأصلي (المشترك)، وأمام العضلة الرقبية الطويلة ويتقاطع مع الشريان الدرقي السفلي والعصب الحنجري الراجع ماراً من أمامهما. لذا يختلف مسار الأعصاب بين الطرفين الأيمن والأيسر. - The superior cardiac nerve arises by two or more branches from the superior cervical ganglion, and occasionally receives a filament from the trunk between the first and second cervical ganglia. It runs down the neck behind the common carotid artery, and in front of the Longus colli muscle; and crosses in front of the inferior thyroid artery, and recurrent nerve. The course of the nerves on the two sides then differs. (en)
- Il nervo cardiaco superiore nasce da due o più rami provenienti dal , e occasionalmente riceve alcune fibre nervose dal tronco tra il primo e il secondo ganglio cervicale. Decorre lungo il collo, dietro l'arteria carotide comune, e davanti al muscolo lungo del collo; e si incrocia di fronte all'arteria tiroidea inferiore e al nervo ricorrente. Il decorso seguito dal nervo di destra e di sinistra per raggiungere il plesso cardiaco è quindi differente. (it)
