- Das NextEra Energy Resources 250 ist ein Autorennen der NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, das auf dem Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida ausgetragen wird. Es fand erstmals im Jahre 2000 statt und war seitdem immer das erste Rennen der Saison. Das erste in Daytona ausgetragene Rennen der Craftsman Truck Series im Jahre 2000 war von einem schweren Unfall überschattet. Ungefähr zur Hälfte des Rennens berührten sich die Trucks von Kurt Busch und . Morgan verlor die Kontrolle über seinen Truck und drückte den Truck von in die Außenmauer. Es entstand ein großes Feuer, bei dem niemand ums Leben kam. Der bei dem Unfall verletzte Geoff Bodine konnte im Mai wieder ein Rennen fahren. Die Craftsman Truck Series fährt in Daytona im Gegensatz zum Sprint Cup und zur Nationwide Series nicht mit Luftmengenbegrenzern, wodurch höhere Geschwindigkeiten erreicht werden können. In den Jahren 2003 und 2007 kam es zu sehr engen Zieleinläufen mit jeweils drei Trucks nebeneinander. In den Jahren 2001, 2003 und 2006 kam es zu einem „Green-White-Checkered-Finish“. (de)
- The NextEra Energy 250 is the first race of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season at Daytona International Speedway and as of 2004 has been held under the lights. It is the Truck Series event of Speedweeks – the series of races leading up to the Daytona 500. Winners of the event include Mike Wallace, Joe Ruttman, Robert Pressley, Rick Crawford, Carl Edwards, Bobby Hamilton, Mark Martin, Jack Sprague, Todd Bodine (twice), Timothy Peters, Michael Waltrip, John King, Johnny Sauter (three times), Kyle Busch, Tyler Reddick, Kaz Grala, Austin Hill, and Zane Smith. The Truck Series does not run restrictor plates, devices used by the Xfinity and Cup stock cars to reduce horsepower and slow the cars down at Daytona and Talladega. However, a restrictor in the space, a "spacer plate", and aerodynamic disadvantages in the trucks compensate for the lack of a restrictor plate. Zane Smith is the 2022 winner of the event. (en)

A Truck Series não possui as placas restritoras, que a Xfinity Series e a NASCAR Cup Series possuem, para reduzir a potência dos carros, nos famosos Superspeedways (Daytona e Talladega), pistas que não necessitam do uso do freio, devido as suas grande extensões e aos graus de inclinação elevados nas curvas. Como as camionetes (trucks) não são originalmente carros preparados para corrida, não há aonde colocar as placas restritoras, e mesmo se fosse possível colocar, seria inviável, pois prejudicaria a aerodinâmica e o rendimento dos motores das trucks.
