- Star Maa (formerly Maa TV) is an Indian Telugu language general entertainment pay television channel owned by Disney Star, a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company India. The channel telecasts Telugu language programmes such as serials, reality shows and Telugu films. The channel was launched as Maa TV in April 2002 by Murali Krishnam Raju. In March 2006, Nimmagadda Prasad along with film stars Chiranjeevi and Nagarjuna became promoters by purchasing 60% stake with Raju holding 20% stake. In February 2015, Star India acquired broadcast business of Maa Television Network for an estimated price of ₹2,000–2,500 crore. In 2017, Maa TV was rebranded as Star Maa. (en)

MAA Television Network Limited a été créée en 2001 et la chaîne principale de GEC, MAA TV, a été lancée en 2002. La deuxième chaîne, , a été lancée en 2008. Avec le lancement de MAA Movies en février 2011 et (Un GEC à la mode axé sur le public urbain et jeunesse) en février 2012, MAA TV est apparue comme un important réseau de télévision portugaise avec un bouquet de quatre chaînes.
