John Alexander Wilson "Jock" Gunn FRSC (born 1937) is a Canadian political philosopher. He earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Oxford and is Sir Edward Peacock Professor Emeritus in the Department of Political Studies, Queen's University, Canada. In 2001, Gunn retired after forty years of service to the university. Appointed full professor in 1970, he was head of department 1975–83 and was elected to the Royal Society of Canada in 1983.
