Gawai Dayak is an annual festival celebrated by the Dayak people in Sarawak, Malaysia and West Kalimantan, Indonesia on 1 and 2 June. It is a public holiday in Sarawak and is both a religious and a social occasion recognised since 1957. Gawai Dayak was conceived of by the radio producers Tan Kingsley and Owen Liang and then taken up by the Dayak community. The British colonial government refused to recognise Dayak Day until 1962. They called it Sarawak Day for the inclusion of all Sarawakians as a national day, regardless of ethnic origin.

Persembahan pelbagai makanan dan tuan di persembahkan kepada dewa padi untuk hasil yang baik. Penyair akan membaca mantra yang khusus untuk upacara ini dan melumur darah ayam jantan pada bahan persembahan. Setelah upacara ini, perayaan Gawai Dayak akan dimulai secara resmi. Sebatang pohon yang dikenali sebagai 'ranyai' akan didirikan di tengah ruang dan dihiasi dengan makanan dan minuman. Mereka juga akan mengunjungi keluarga dan sahabat yang disebut sebagai 'ngabang'. Pakaian tradisional akan dikenakan, dan perhiasan manik orang ulu akan dikeluarkan untuk dipakai pada hari itu. Perawan Iban juga akan mengenakan perhiasan perak tradisional.
