The Elecpro RU series are Chinese UAVs developed by Dong-Ying Wu-Tong De-Ao Helicopter Co., Ltd. (东营梧桐德奥直升机有限公司), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Guangdong Elecpro Electric Appliance Holding Co., Ltd. headquartered in Nanhai District. Originally a major kitchen appliance manufacturer in China, Elecpro has recently expanded its business into the aviation arena by purchasing Dong-Ying Wu-Tong De-Ao Helicopter Co., Ltd., its sister company from their parent company, the Beijing Chinese Parasol Tree Soar Universe Investment Co., Ltd. Along with its manned ultralight manned helicopter, Elecpro UAVs made their public debut in November 2014 at the 10th Zhuhai Airshow.
