- El Tour dels Alps 2017 va ser la 41a edició del Giro del Trentino. La cursa es disputà entre el 17 i el 21 d'abril de 2017, amb un recorregut de 831,6 km, repartits entre cinc etapes per carreteres d'Àustria i Itàlia. La cursa forma part de l'UCI Europa Tour 2017 amb una categoria 2.HC. El vencedor de la classificació general fou el gal·lès Geraint Thomas (Team Sky), que s'imposà per tan sols set segons al francès Thibaut Pinot (FDJ) i per vint a l'italià Domenico Pozzovivo (AG2R-La Mondiale). Alexander Foliforov (Gazprom-RusVelo) guanyà la classificació de la muntanya. El colombià Egan Arley Bernal (Androni Giocattoli-Sidermec) guanyà la dels joves i Pascal Ackermann (Bora-Hansgrohe) la dels esprints. El BMC Racing Team fou el millor equip. (ca)
- The 2017 Tour of the Alps was a road cycling stage race that took place in Austria and Italy between 17 and 21 April 2017. It was the 41st edition of the renamed Giro del Trentino and was rated as a 2.HC event as part of the 2017 UCI Europe Tour. Team Sky and one of its riders won the overall classification for the third year in succession, as Geraint Thomas became the first British rider to win the race. Thomas won the third stage of the race, taking the leader's fuchsia jersey as a result, and ultimately won by seven seconds ahead of Thibaut Pinot (FDJ), who finished all five stages within the top-five, including a stage win on the final day. The podium was completed by AG2R La Mondiale's Domenico Pozzovivo, a further thirteen seconds in arrears of Pinot. In the race's other classifications, Androni–Sidermec–Bottecchia rider Egan Bernal took the young rider classification on the final day from Cannondale–Drapac's Hugh Carthy; Alexander Foliforov (Gazprom–RusVelo) and Pascal Ackermann (Bora–Hansgrohe) led from start-to-finish as they won the mountains and sprints classifications respectively, while the teams classification was won by the BMC Racing Team. This was the last race of Michele Scarponi, who died the following day while training near home. (en)

La vittoria fu appannaggio del britannico Geraint Thomas che completò il percorso in 20h49'37", alla media di 37,605 km/h, precedendo il francese Thibaut Pinot e l'italiano Domenico Pozzovivo. Il quarto classificato, Michele Scarponi, vincitore della prima tappa, morirà il giorno dopo la conclusione della corsa a causa di un incidente in allenamento. Sul traguardo di Trento 109 ciclisti, su 139 partiti da Kufstein, portarono a termine la competizione. (it)
