- The 1990 UEFA Cup Final was an association football tie played on 2 May 1990 and 16 May 1990 between Juventus and Fiorentina of Italy. Juventus won 3–1 on aggregate. This was the first final between two Italian sides in the UEFA competitions' history and the third between two clubs of the same country. The first game was the last official football game played at the Stadio Comunale until 2006, when Stadio delle Alpi was closed. The second game was played in Avellino because Fiorentina's substitute stadium in Perugia was closed after the incidents in the semifinal game against SV Werder Bremen. With this defeat, Fiorentina became the second club – after Hamburger SV – to have been runner-up in all three major European competitions (European Champion Clubs' Cup/UEFA Champions League, UEFA Cup/UEFA Europa League, and the now-defunct Cup Winners' Cup). Elle prend la forme d'une double confrontation aller-retour prenant place le 2 mai et 16 mai 1990, respectivement au Stadio Comunale de Turin et au stade Partenio d'Avellino, tous deux en Italie. Elle oppose les deux équipes italiennes de la Juventus et de la Fiorentina. Il 2 maggio 1990 allo stadio Comunale Vittorio Pozzo di Torino la partita, arbitrata dallo spagnolo Emilio Soriano Aladrén, finì 3-1. La gara di ritorno si disputò dopo due settimane allo stadio Partenio di Avellino e fu arbitrata dal tedesco occidentale Aron Schmidhuber. Il match terminò 0-0 e ad aggiudicarsi il trofeo fu la squadra piemontese. (it)

Met Juventus en Fiorentina stonden er voor het eerst twee Italiaanse teams in de finale. Juventus won de heenwedstrijd overtuigend met 3-1 en had in de terugwedstrijd genoeg aan een scoreloos gelijkspel. De terugwedstrijd vond niet plaats in Florence, maar in het neutrale Stadio Partenio in Avellino. Fiorentina mocht niet in zijn eigen stadion spelen na de rellen die daar hadden plaatsgevonden tijdens de halve finale tegen Werder Bremen. (nl)
