(de)

She was on the FIFA list of international referees between 1997 and 2008, officiating in a number of tournaments around the world including the 2000 Olympic football tournament in Sydney. Ogston appeared at the 1999 FIFA Women's World Cup and then refereed four matches in the 2003 World Cup in the US, including the third place decider match between the USA and Canada. She then participated in the 2006 FIFA U-20 Women's World Championship in Russia. Chosen as one of the referees for the 2007 FIFA Women's World Cup in China, Ogston again refereed four matches including the tournament opener and the final, becoming the first referee in the world to officiate at both of those games in one World Cup competition. She is also the first Australian, male or female, to referee a World Cup Final. In 2008 she became Australia's first female FIFA Futuro Instructor, involved in development of International, National and local referees; in 2011 Ogston retired from all forms of football. In 2016, Ogston was admitted to the FFA Football Federation Australia Hall of Fame. 1996 State Titles Bundaberg, QLD Under 16 Male July, 1996 Referee National Titles Darwin, NT Open Women's July, 1996 Referee Other Information Brisbane, QLD QAS v AIS 1996 Referee 1997 National Titles Newcastle, NSW Open Women's July, 1997 Referee International Women's B Grade Games Canberra, ACT AUS v USA 5 March 1997 RefereeLismore, NSW AUS: CHN 16 Nov, 1997 Referee Other Information Attainment of FIFA International Women's Referee BadgeNational Youth League Referee 1998 International Women's A Grade Games OFC Women's World Cup QualifiersAuckland, NZL NZL: FIJ 14: 0 11Oct, 1998 Referee PNG: FIJ 7: 1 17Oct, 1998 Referee 1999 State Titles Maroochydore, QLD TIS Women's Open 15 June 1999 Referee National Titles Sydney, NSW TIS Under 16 Male Referee International Women's B Grade GamesAlgarve CupAlgarve, Portugal March, 1999 Referee 1st Australia CupSydney, NSW AUS: ITA 1: 1(4: 3) 9 Jan, 1999 RefereeCanberra, ACT AUS: CAN 4: 3 10 Jan, 1999 Referee AUS: ITA 1: 0 13 Jan, 1999 Referee International Women's A Grade Games Women's World Cup USA NOR: RUS 2: 1 20 June 1999 4th Official NOR: CAN 7: 1 23 June 1999 Referee CAN: RUS 1: 4 26 June 1999 4th Official CHN: RUS 2: 0 30 June 1999 4th Official 2000 International Women's B Grade Games Pacific CupCanberra, ACT CHN: USA 1: 0 31 May 2000 Referee Crowd 500Sydney, NSW USA: CAN 9: 1 02 Jun, 2000 Referee Crowd 3617Newcastle, NSW AUS: USA 0: 1 11 Jun, 2000 Referee Crowd 10049 Women's Australia CupHindmarsh Stadium South Australia 13 Jan, 2000 Referee International Women's A Grade GamesSydney Olympics 2000Canberra, ACT CHN: NGA 3: 1 14 September 2000 4th Official NOR: NGA 3: 1 17 September 2000 Referee NOR: CHN 2:1 20 September 2000 4th Official Other Information Queensland Sports Officiator of the YearBrisbane, QLD Finalist for 2000 Sport Award Australian Sports MedalBrisbane, QLD First Australian female to referee at a FIFA World Cup 2001 International Women's B Grade Games3RD Australia CupLismore, NSW AUS: FRA 1: 1 14 Jan, 2001 RefereeGold Coast, QLD AUS: FRA 1: 0 17 Jan, 2001 Referee Women's National League Grand FinalParramatta, NSW NSW: QLD Dec 2001 Referee 2002 International Women's a Grade GamesOFC FIFA Under 19 Women's World Championship Qualifying TournamentTonga 23 April 2002 Referee International Women's B Grade Games4TH Australia CupWagga Wagga, NSW AUS: KOR 1: 0 13 Jan, 2002 RefereeAlbury, NSW AUS: KOR 1: 0 16 Jan, 2002 4TH OfficialBendigo, Vic AUS: KOR 4: 1 19 Jan, 2002 Referee TIS State TitlesCairns, QLD Women's Open June, 2002 Referee 2003 TIS State TitlesTownsville, QLD Women's Open June, 2003 Referee NSL TEAMSTownsville, QLD NQLD: Parramatta 6 Aug, 2003 RefereeMackay, QLD Mackay: Nor.
