- Claude Gauvreau, né le 19 août 1925 et mort le 7 juillet 1971 à Montréal, est un poète, dramaturge, peintre et critique d'art libertaire québécois. Il est un l'un des signataires du célèbre manifeste automatiste Refus Global. Il est surtout reconnu pour son langage exploréen, une glossolalie poétique et un travail sur la langue basé sur un l'automatisme. De son vivant, il fait paraitre Sur fil métamorphose (1953) et Brochuges (1957). En 1974, soit trois ans après sa mort, il est le sujet d'un documentaire de Jean-Claude Labrecque produit par l'Office national du film du Canada. (fr)

- Claude Gauvreau (* 19. August 1925 in Montreal; † 7. Juli 1971 ebenda) war ein kanadischer Schriftsteller. Gauvreau studierte am jesuitischen und bis 1947 an der Universität Montreal. 1942 kam er zur Gruppe der Automatisten um den Maler Paul-Émile Borduas, in der er als Lyriker und Theaterautor, ab 1945 auch als Kritiker aktiv war.
