Abī Ḥājj al-Ḡafjūmī—, més conegut simplement com Abu-Imran al-Fassí —àrab: أبو عمران الفاسي, Abū ʿImrān al-Fāsī— fou un notable alfaquí maliquita establert a Kairuan, notable perquè vers el 1040 el jurista Jàwhar ibn Sakkum de la tribu gudala, enviat per Yahya ibn Ibrahim, el xeix ce la tribu, al seu retorn d'una peregrinació a la Meca, el va trobar a Ifríqiya, i li va demanar islamitzar al seu poble; al-Fassí li va recomanar una visita a un altre religiós, de nom Uggwag ibn Zalwi, establert en un ribat anomenat Dar al-murabitun, a la regió del Sus. - أبو عمران موسى بن عيسى بن أبي حاج الغفجومي المعروف بأبي عمران الفاسي (ولد بفاس 356 هـ / 975-976، توفي بالقيروان 13 رمضان 430 هـ / 7 يونيو 1039). فقيه وحافظ ومحدث وأصولي مالكي ومن أبرز أعلام هذا المذهب، ترك أثراً كبيراً في تاريخ بلاد المغرب خلال العصر الوسيط، حيث أسهم في إحداث تغييرات جذرية في انتماءات بلاد المغرب الفكرية والمذهبية، ونصبت منه زعيماً شعبياً تبنى مبادرة إصلاحية، والتي تُوجتْ بظهور الحركة المرابطية، والذي مثل فيها أبو عمران دور العقل المدبر. - Abu Imran Musa ibn Isa ibn abi hajj (or hajjaj) al-Fasi (Arabic: أبو عمران موسى بن عيسى بن أبي الحاج الفاسي) (also simply known as Abu Imran al-Fasi; born between 975 and 978, died 8 June 1039) was a Moroccan Maliki faqīh born at Fez to a Berber or Arab family whose nisba is impossible to reconstruct. Qadi Ayyad (d.544/1129), author of the Kitab Shifa bitarif huquq al-Mustapha (The Antidote in knowing the rights of the Chosen Prophet), hagiographied Abu Imran al-Fasi in his Tadrib a-Madarik (Exercising Perception), an encyclopaedia of Maliki scholars.
