dbo:abstract
Ian Bailey (born 1959 in Kent, England) was the Head Buyer and later Financial Director of Games Workshop until 1985. He left Games Workshop to write books and develop games. He has had seven books published in three languages and three games in the UK and United States. He was a best-selling author in France with the Compton Murder, an interactive detective book, published by Éditions Gallimard. Ian Bailey lives in west Cork, in Ireland where he has lived since the early 1990's. He has been linked as the main suspect in the violent murder or French woman Sophie Toscan Du Plantier in west Cork, in 1996. Ian used the name 'Eoin Bailey' when publishing articles he wrote about the murder as a freelance journalist for Irish print media. At the time, Ian drew suspicion upon himself as it was thought he knew too much detail about the crime which had not been released to the public. Ian was never charged for the murder of Sophie in Ireland but in 2019, he was convicted of the murder of Sophie in absentia. 'Murder at the Cottage' is a 5 part docu-series led by Irish film maker Jim Sheridan, detailing the events that occurred to which Bailey partook and appeared to enjoy the attention of. يان بيلي (بالإنجليزية: Ian Bailey)‏ هو كاتب بريطاني، ولد في 1959.
