Fellow Westlife member Mark Feehily said that their song I Cry has a different tune and sound unlike other Westlife songs. The song is composed by Swedish songwriter Jorgen Elofssen, who also composed past Westlife hit singles such as If I Let You Go, Fool Again and Try Again. Jorgen Elofssen mainly wrote songs with Per Magnusson and David Kreuger.
