Woods Hole is a census-designated place in the town of Falmouth in Barnstable County, Massachusetts, United States. It lies at the extreme southwest corner of Cape Cod, near Martha's Vineyard and the Elizabeth Islands. The population was 781 at the 2010 census. It is also the site of United States Coast Guard Sector Southeastern New England (formerly USCG Group Woods Hole), the Nobska Light lighthouse, and the terminus of the Steamship Authority ferry route between Cape Cod and the island of Martha's Vineyard.

Auch die Sea Education Association (SEA), die Schülern Segelschifferfahrung vermittelt, hat hier ihren Sitz. Es gibt ein Aquarium und Ausstellungsräume der Forschungsinstitute (WHOI, MBL) sowie ein Historisches Museum. Der Ort hat einen geschützten Binnenhafen (Pond Eel). Wieś położona jest nad cieśniną Vineyard Sound, po przeciwnej stronie której znajduje się wyspa Martha’s Vineyard. W cieśninie tej występują bardzo silne morskie prądy pływowe (ich prędkość może dochodzić do czterech węzłów, a kierunek zmienia się w zależności od fazy przypływu/odpływu), stwarzających poważne problemy w żegludze; szczególnie silne prądy występują w wodach pomiędzy cieśniną Vineyard Sound a zatoką Buzzards Bay, bezpośrednio sąsiadujących z Woods Hole. Od 1872 Woods Hole miało połączenie kolejowe z Bostonem i resztą kraju (obecnie nieczynne), które w XX wieku w znacznym stopniu wpłynęło na rozwój turystyki w tej okolicy.
