- Wetsens ist ein kleines Dorf in der Gemeinde Noardeast-Fryslân in der niederländischen Provinz Friesland. Es befindet sich nordöstlich von Dokkum und hat 55 Einwohner (Stand: 1. Januar 2022). Wetsens ist auf einer Warft entstanden, auf der auch die romanische Dorfkirche aus dem 12. Jahrhundert zu finden ist. Sie ist Veit geweiht und nur noch die Nordmauer besteht aus den ursprünglich verwendeten Tuffsteinen. Außerdem gibt es in Wetsens noch den kleinen See Jaerlagat. (de)

- Wetsens is a village in Noardeast-Fryslân in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands. It had a population of around 55 in January 2017. and is considered to be one of the oldest villages in the north-east of Friesland. Before 2019, the village was part of the Dongeradeel municipality. The village was first mentioned in 1417 as Witzenser Therpe, and means "terp (artificial living mound) of the people of Wytse". See also Wetsinge. The Dutch Reformed church dates from the 12th century. In 1842, the tower collapsed, and has been replaced by a simple belfry. In 1840, Wetsens was home to 131 people. (en)
- Wetsens is een terpdorp in de gemeente Noardeast-Fryslân, in de Nederlandse provincie Friesland. Wetsens ligt ten noordoosten van Dokkum, ten zuidoosten van Hantumeruitburen en ten zuidwesten van Niawier en Metslawier. De bebouwing ligt aan voornamelijk aan de noord- en zuidwestkant van de terp, ten zuiden van de Jaarlasloot. In het zuidoosten van het dorpsgebied stroomt de Zuider Ee waarlangs ook de N361 loopt. Het werkt op veel fronten samen met Niawier. De twee worden daarom ook wel een tweelingdorp genoemd. In 2021 telde het dorp Wetsens 55 inwoners. Onder het dorp valt deels ook de buurtschap Lutkewier.
