- Wacław Kuchar (Łańcut, 16 de setembre de 1897 - Varsòvia, 13 de febrer de 1981) és un exfutbolista polonès de la dècada de 1920. Destacà en nombrosos esports, atletisme, futbol, esquí, patinatge sobre gel i hoquei sobre gel. Fou 23 cops internacional amb la selecció polonesa amb la qual participà en els Jocs Olímpics d'Estiu de 1924. Pel que fa a clubs, defensà els colors de Pogoń Lwów. En futbol fou campió de Polònia en 1922, 1923, 1925, 1926. Fou campió de Polònia en atletisme en:

- Wacław Michał Kuchar dit Wacek (né le 16 septembre 1897 à Łańcut en Pologne et mort le 13 février 1981 à Varsovie) est un joueur et entraîneur de football, un athlète, skieur, ainsi qu'un patineur de vitesse et joueur et entraîneur de hockey sur glace polonais. Joueur connu pour son fair-play, il a grandi et a vécu presque toute sa vie dans la ville de Lviv, qu'il a représenté sportivement tout au long de sa carrière (le club de la ville du LKS Pogoń Lviv était un des clubs les plus importants et populaires de l'entre-deux-guerres). Élu sportif polonais de l'année 1926 (puis 10e l'année suivante) et champion de Pologne dans toutes les disciplines citées ci-dessus, Wacek fut de nombreuses fois recordman de son pays, mais est surtout connu pour sa carrière de footballeur. Atteignant le total de 1 065 buts inscrits en club en 1 052 matchs (dont 101 buts en 199 matchs officiels), il a participé au premier match officiel de l'histoire de la sélection polonaise contre la Hongrie le 18 décembre 1921 (défaite 1-0 à Budapest), ainsi qu'aux JO de 1924 à Paris. Il a également terminé meilleur buteur du championnat de Pologne lors de la saison 1922 avec 21 buts, ainsi que de la saison 1926 avec 11 buts (à égalité avec le joueur Józef Garbień). Après sa retraite de sportif, il devient tantôt arbitre, tantôt entraîneur. Il fut également dirigeant sportif et membre honoraire de la fédération polonaise de football. (fr)

Kuchar excelled in many sports – track and field, football (firstly – as a forward, then as a midfielder, and finally at the end of his career – as a defender), skiing, speed skating and ice hockey. Even though born in Łańcut, his whole life was connected with Lwów, where he played for Pogoń Lwów – one of the most important and most popular sports clubs of interwar Poland. After finishing his career, he became a referee, coach and sports official. To this day Kuchar is regarded as an excellent example of fair play. In 1926, in a poll held by the Polish sports daily Przegląd Sportowy, Kuchar was chosen as the athlete of the year. A year later he came in 10th in the same poll. In 1924, at the Paris Olympic Games, he played on the Poland national football team. (en)
