- Victor Célestin Méric, né le 10 mai 1876 à Marseille et mort le 10 octobre 1933 dans le 4e arrondissement de Paris, est un journaliste et écrivain libertaire et antimilitariste français. D'abord militant anarchiste, il adhère au Parti communiste français et est membre de son comité directeur de 1920 à 1922 ; exclu en 1923, il participe ensuite à l'Union socialiste communiste. Pacifiste pendant la Première Guerre mondiale, il crée en 1931 la Ligue internationale des combattants de la paix (LICP). (fr)

He contributed to various anarchist journals before World War I (1914–18). Despite being a pacifist, he served in the army during the war. Afterwards he joined the French Communist Party, but was expelled in 1923 for his pacifist convictions. He wrote a number of books, both fiction and non-fiction, and founded the Ligue internationale des combattants de la paix (LICP: International League of Fighters for Peace). (en)
