- El Vjing és una pràctica audiovisual en temps real hereva del videoart que consisteix en llançar vídeos amb sortida a un projector i punxar-los, modificar-los, i barrejar-los, a mode del que fa un dj amb la música, però amb vídeos. L'artista que practicada l'activitat es denomina vj (per analogia amb els dj). planteja "una cerca constant de la renovació i l'experimentació al pla de l'estètica, manté el mateix significat i expressivitat que el fotomuntatge o el collage, incloent la mateixa funció a la seva versió contemporània. Son readaptades a l'interfaç de l'ordinador i reprenen la seva força expressiva i significat en forma d'eines i programari digital. El seu caràcter "en viu" prové dels happenings i performances (en català acció artística) de la dècada de 1960, i beu del cinema i de les avantguardes que giren en torn a la imatge. (ca)
- VJing je mixování videa, činnost podobná djingu (míchání hudby). VJing dělá osoba nazývaná VJ (visual/video jockey). Jeho hlavní využití je na tanečních parties k projekcím. K tvorbě VJ používá předpřipravené smyčky i aktuální „živý“ signál z kamer a ostatních zdrojů videosignálů. K mixování se používá analogových a digitálních videomixů, případně počítače se softwarovou verzí videomixu. (cs)

Bi kasu horietan VJ batek musika hautatu eta manipulatzen du, Disc Jockey batek musikarekin egiten duen bezala. VJing often takes place at events such as concerts, nightclubs, music festivals and sometimes in combination with other performative arts. This results in a live multimedia performance that can include music, actors and dancers. The term VJing became popular in its association with MTV's Video Jockey but its origins date back to the New York club scene of the 70s. In both situations VJing is the manipulation or selection of visuals, the same way DJing is a selection and manipulation of audio. One of the key elements in the practice of VJing is the realtime mix of content from a "library of media", on storage media such as VHS tapes or DVDs, video and still image files on computer hard drives, live camera input, or from computer generated visuals. In addition to the selection of media, VJing mostly implies realtime processing of the visual material. VJing jest najczęściej wykonywany na koncertach, w nocnych klubach, na festiwalach muzycznych, czasami w połączeniu z innymi sztukami scenicznymi.
