- L’Union de la jeunesse démocratique libanaise (UJDL) (en arabe : اتحاد الشباب الديمقراطي اللبناني ou littéralement Ittihad al-Shabab al-Demoqrati al-Lubnani) est une organisation de jeunesse libanaise de gauche, laïque et démocratique, telle qu'elle se définit dans ses statuts. L'UJDL a été fondée légalement en 1970 par des étudiants de gauche (principalement communistes) et de jeunes activistes, après avoir été active clandestinement depuis 1945. L'UJDL est membre de nombreuses organisations de jeunesse régionales et internationales, mais elle est principalement affiliée à la Fédération mondiale de la jeunesse démocratique (FMJD).[1] L'UJDL est la vice-présidente du FMJD depuis mars 2007 après une longue histoire d'action internationale. Elle a également été présidente du FMJD à la fin des années 1980, avant et pendant l'effondrement de l'Union soviétique. - Union of Lebanese Democratic Youth (ULDY) (Arabic: اتحاد الشباب الديمقراطي اللبناني, transliterated: Ittihad ash-Shabab ad-Dimuqrati al-Lubnani), also known as UJDL (the French abbreviation of Union de la jeunesse démocratique libanaise), is a Lebanese leftist secular democratic youth organization as it defines itself in its documents. ULDY was legally established in 1970 by leftist—mainly communist—students and young activists, after being active underground since 1945. ULDY is a member in many regional and international youth organizations, but its main affiliation is to the World Federation of Democratic Youth (WFDY). ULDY is the vice president of WFDY since March 2007 after a long history of international action. It was the president of WFDY during the late 1980s before and during the collapse of the Soviet Union.
