- عبيد الله بن مروان بن الحكم كان أميرًا وقائدًا أمويًا. وابن الخليفة الأموي مروان بن الحكم، وأمه أم أبان ابنة الخليفة عثمان بن عفان. والأخ غير الشقيق للخليفة عبد الملك بن مروان، كان أحد قادة الغارات شبه السنوية على الحدود البيزنطية مع الخلافة الأموية. عيّنه عبد الملك واليًا على البلقاء، وهي منطقة فرعية من ولاية دمشق تمتد بين سوريا ووادي القرى. وشارك مع أخويه أبان وعثمان بأدوار قيادية في عهد عبد الملك. ولي غزو الصائفة من قبل أخيه عبد الملك، وله ذكر ودار بدمشق، في سنة 81 هـ غزا عبيد الله بن مروان، وفتح حصن سنان، وأصيبت الروم. - Ubaidillah bin Marwan bin al-Hakam (bahasa Arab: عبيدالله بن مروان بن الحكم) adalah seorang pangeran dan jenderal Kekhalifahan Umayyah. Dia adalah putra dari Khalifah Marwan bin al-Hakam (berkuasa 684–685) dan Ummu Aban, putri Khalifah Utsman bin 'Affan (berkuasa 644–656). Saudara tiri Ubaidillah, Khalifah Abdul Malik bin Marwan (berkuasa 685–705) menunjuknya sebagai salah satu jenderal serangan tiap tahunan terhadap perbatasan wilayah Bizantium dengan Kekhalifahan Umayyah. Pada waktu yang tidak ditentukan, Abdul Malik juga mengangkat Ubaidillah sebagai gubernur Balqa, sebuah kecamatan di distrik Damaskus yang membentang di antara Suriah dan Wadi al-Qura (di barat laut Arab). - ʿUbayd Allāh ibn Marwān ibn al-Ḥakam (Arabic: عبيدالله بن مروان بن الحكم) was an Umayyad prince and commander. He was the son of the Umayyad caliph Marwan I (r. 684–685) and the latter's wife Umm Aban al-Kubra, a daughter of Caliph Uthman (r. 644–656). Ubayd Allah's half-brother Caliph Abd al-Malik (r. 685–705) appointed him as one of the commanders of the near-annual raids against the Byzantine frontier with the Umayyad Caliphate. Abd al-Malik also appointed Ubayd Allah, for an unclear period, the governor of the Balqa, a subdistrict of the Damascus district spanning the area between Syria and Wadi al-Qura (in northwestern Arabia). Ubayd Allah's full brothers Aban and Uthman also held command roles under Abd al-Malik. (en)
