- القفص المُذهّب (بالإنجليزية The Gilded Cage) هي لوحة زيتية تم رسمها في عام 1919م بريشة الفنانة الإنجليزية إيفيلين دي مورغان . و تعد هذه اللوحة هي آخر أعمالها التي رسمتها قبل وفاتها في وقت لاحق من ذلك العام. في اللّوحة يظهر مشهد فيه امرأة تنظر من النافذة. تشكل يدها الممدودة بادرة شوق وهي تشاهد مجموعة من الراقصين والموسيقيين. الشخصية الرئيسية في المجموعة المتنقلة هي امرأة ترقص وهي تحمل طفلها، مما يشير إلى أن المشهد يمثل أيضًا واجب الأم. و وُضعت مجوهرات مكسورة وكتاب مُلقى على الأرض. و يظهر في اللّوحة أيضاً طائر يحلق حول الراقصين، والذي يتناقض بشكل حاد مع الطائر الأسير في قفص مُذهّب معلق بالقرب من زوج المرأة الأكبر سناً المذهول. - The Gilded Cage is a 1919 oil painting by Evelyn De Morgan. It was her final work before her death later in the year. In the painting a woman looks out a window. Her outstretched hand forms a gesture of yearning as she watches a group of dancers and musicians. The principal figure among the travelling group is a woman who dances while holding her baby, suggesting that the scene also represents maternal duty. Broken jewelry and a book lay on the floor. A bird soars free about the dancers, which contrasts sharply to the captive bird in the gilded cage hanging near the woman's distraught older husband. (en)
