- La Terre de Bari, en italien Terra di Bari, est une ancienne subdivision du royaume de Sicile, puis des Deux-Siciles, qui se trouve aujourd'hui dans la région des Pouilles. Elle avait Bari pour chef-lieu. Elle avait pour bornes au nord la Capitanate et au sud la Terre d'Otrante, et comprenait la ville de Bari ainsi que le littoral adriatique depuis le cours de l'Aufide jusqu'à Fasano. En 2005, l'expression fut exhumée par la ville de Bari pour servir de nom marketing à l'aire urbaine de la ville.

- The Terra di Bari (Italian for "land of Bari"), in antiquity Peucetia and in the Middle Ages (Latin for "field of Bari"), is the region around Bari in Apulia. Historically it was one of the justiciarships of the Kingdom of Sicily and later Naples. It became a province in the Two Sicilies. Today it is a part of the Province of Bari in Italy. Since 2005, according to the municipal government of Bari, it refers to the metropolitan area of the city and is trademarked for touristic purposes. To the north of the Terra is the Capitanate and to the south the Terra d'Otranto. It is the only plain between the Murgia and the Adriatic and comprises the littoral, centred on Bari, between the river Ofanto and the city of Fasano. The ancient name "Peucetia" is derived from its ancient inhabitants, the Peuceti. (en)
- La Peucezia è il nome che, nel periodo antecedente alla conquista da parte dei Romani, veniva attribuito al territorio (corrispondente a grandi linee all'odierna città metropolitana di Bari) abitato appunto dai Peuceti, una delle tre tribù degli Iapigi (le altre due erano i Dauni e i Messapi).I centri principali furono Thuriae, Genusia, Mateola, Butuntum, Canusium, Rubi, Silvium, Celiae e Azetium. L'attuale capoluogo Barium fu relativamente poco importante. In seguito il territorio che costituisce la parte centro-settentrionale dell'attuale Puglia, ossia tutta la "Peucezia" e la "Daunia", venne chiamato con il termine Apulia. In realtà furono i romani ad utilizzare maggiormente il toponimo Apulia, che si ritrova incluso anche nella Regio II Apulia et Calabria comprendente però, oltre all'odierno Salento (all'epoca denominato Calabria in quanto abitato dai Calabri e dai Sallentini), anche l'Irpinia.
