- Tax Free byla nizozemská rocková skupina z Amsterdamu. Založil ji zpěvák Wally Tax v roce 1969 poté, co se rozpadla jeho předchozí skupina . Dále ve skupině hráli David Oliphanr (kytara), Jody Purpora (zpěv, kytara) a Leendert Busch (bicí). Počátkem roku 1970 skupina odjela do New Yorku, kde nahrála své eponymní debutové album. Jeho producentem byl Lewis Merenstein a vedle členů skupiny na něm hrál například multiinstrumentalista (zde violista) John Cale (ten v té době s Merensteinem spolupracoval na několika dalších projektech) nebo kontrabasista Richard Davis. Album vyšlo v březnu 1971 u vydavatelství Polydor Records a nedlouho poté se skupina rozpadla. (cs)
- Tax Free was a Dutch band from Amsterdam. It was founded by singer Wally Tax in 1969 after disbanding of The Outsiders. The group also featured David Oliphant (guitar), Jody Purpora on vocals, guitar and keyboards and Leendert "Buzz" Busch (drums). At the beginning of 1970, the band travelled to New York, where they recorded their eponymous debut album. It was produced by Lewis Merenstein and featured violist/multi-instrumentalist John Cale, with whom Merenstein collaborated on number of projects including his debut album Vintage Violence. Bassist Richard Davis also played on this album. It was released in March 1971 and soon after broke up. (en)
