- Tatra 54 je osobní automobil střední třídy vyráběný v letech 1931–1934 československou automobilkou Tatra. V období 1931–1936 byly tyto vozy vybavovány větším motorem T 30, který měl při stejném zdvihu o 5 mm větší vrtání, a tedy objem 1679 cm3. Proto nesou označení Tatra 54/30. Tatra 54 byla ekonomickou verzí vozu Tatra 52. Jednalo se o „jeden z nejodolnějších a také nejspolehlivějších vozů kopřivnické automobilky“. V roce 1934 byla nahrazena modelem Tatra 75. (cs)
- Der Tatra 54 war die Sparausführung des Mittelklasse-Typs 52, den das Tatrawerk in Nesselsdorf 1931 herausbrachte. Das Fahrzeug hatte einen obengesteuerten, luftgekühlten Vierzylinder-Boxermotor mit nur 1465 cm³ Hubraum und 22 PS (16,2 kW) Leistung. Der Motor trieb über eine Mehrscheiben-Trockenkupplung und ein Vierganggetriebe mit Mittelschaltung die Hinterräder an. Die erreichbare Höchstgeschwindigkeit des ca. 1100 kg schweren Wagens lag bei 80 km/h. Das Fahrgestell hatte ein Zentralrohr, eine Vorderachse mit Querblattfeder in gegenüber dem Typ 30/52 verbesserter Ausführung und eine gelenklose Pendelachse hinten, ebenfalls mit Querblattfeder. Die Räder waren als Scheiben ausgebildet. Es gab verschiedene 4- und 6-sitzige Limousinenaufbauten mit 2 oder 4 Türen. Innerhalb von 3 Jahren wurden insgesamt 1510 Exemplare hergestellt. - The Tatra 54 is an automobile launched by Tatra in 1931. An economy version of the Tatra 52, it was replaced in 1933 by the Tatra 75. The car was powered by an ohv air-cooled four-cylinder boxer motor of 1465 cc, positioned at the front, and giving a claimed output of 22 PS (16 kW; 22 hp). Power was delivered to the front wheels via a four-speed gear-box. The Tatra 54 featured a central "backbone chassis" a hallmark of Design Chief Ledwinka: the front axle was supported by a transverse leaf spring while a second transverse leaf spring supported the swing rear axle. Various four- and six-seater saloon bodies were available with two or four doors. During its three-year production run, 1510 Tatra 54s were built. (en)
