- Sumo Grip es el noveno álbum de estudio publicado por Lucifer's Friend, lanzado en 1994 y publicado bajo el nombre Lucifer's Friend II (reeditado en 2022 simplemente como "Lucifer's Friend"), pues la reunión entre John Lawton y Peter Hesslein no contó con la participación de ninguno de los demás miembros clásicos de la banda. Tras 12 años de haberse disuelto la formación clásica de Lucifer's Friend, John Lawton y Peter Hesslein decidieron cruzar sus caminos una vez más, sin embargo, al no contar con la participación de Dieter Horns, Peter Hecht ni Herbert Bornhold, John y Peter decidieron reclutar nuevos miembros para completar la alineación, contando en esta oportunidad con Andreas Dicke y Jogi Wichmann en el bajo y los teclados, junto con los bateristas de sesión Curt Cress (quien ya había tenido una participación con la banda en el disco Mind Exploding) y Udo Dahmen, re-nombrando a la banda como Lucifer's Friend II. En este disco están presentes una nueva versión del tema "Ride The Sky", así como un cover del tema "Free Me" del disco de Uriah Heep, perteneciente a la época de John Lawton con la banda británica.
