- PowNed ist eine niederländische Rundfunkgesellschaft innerhalb des öffentlich-rechtlichen Rundfunks (Publieke Omroeporganisatie). Sie richtet sich an die neue Netzwerkgeneration. Ihre erste Sendung war die satirische Nachrichtensendung PowNews auf NPO 3, die öfter Skandale in der Politik aufdeckte. PowNed wurde im Dezember 2008 mithilfe des Weblogs GeenStijl gegründet. Im März 2009 erreichte PowNed die benötigten 50.000 Mitglieder, um Teil des Publieke Omroep zu werden. Die Aufnahme erfolgte dann am 4. November 2009. Die erste Sendung wurde am 3. September 2010 ausgestrahlt. PowNed hat in der Gamersprache die gleiche Bedeutung wie owned. Das Backronym steht für Publieke Omroep Weldenkend Nederland En Dergelijke („Öffentlich-rechtlicher Rundfunk klar denkender Niederlande und ähnliches“). Vorsitzender der Rundfunkgesellschaft ist der PowNews-Moderator Dominique Weesie und Hauptreporter ist Rutger Castricum. Weitere Reporter sind Nadia Poeschmann, Shelly Sterk, Jan Roos, Danny Ghosen, Tom Staal, Jan Versteegh und Mark Leene. Mit 25.000 Mitgliedern (Stand 2019) gehört PowNed zu den kleinsten Mitgliedsverbänden des Nederlandse Publieke Omroep (NPO). (de)

- PowNed is a Dutch broadcaster, which transmits radio and television programmes on the Netherlands Public Broadcasting system. Each weekday evening it airs a satirical news show called PowNews on Nederland 3, in which politicians and other public and non-public figures are confronted with provocative questions, and often ridiculed. The broadcaster was affiliated with and was started up with the help of the popular GeenStijl shock blog. The director of PowNed is Dominique Weesie (who also presents PowNews) and their star reporter is Rutger Castricum. Other reporters include(d) Jojanneke van den Berge, Jan Roos (also presenter of the radio programme Echte Jannen with Jan Dijkgraaf) and Daan Nieber. Several other people involved with PowNed programmes (radio and television) are DJs Rob Stenders and Bert van Lent, sports presenters Henk Spaan and Hugo Borst (of the TV football programme Heilig Gras), Bas Paternotte (political commentator for Echte Jannen) and Brenno de Winter (ICT commentator for PowNews). The name is a backronym for Publieke Omroep Weldenkend Nederland En Dergelijke (English: Public broadcaster (for the) well-thinking Netherlands and the like). PowNed claims to serve the network generation and argues heavily (in a tongue-in-cheek style) against baby boomers whom it sees as clinging on to power. (en)
