- La competició de tir al cérvol, doble tret va ser una de les quinze proves de programa de Tir dels Jocs Olímpics de Londres de 1908. Es disputà entre el 9 i el 10 de juliol de 1908 i hi van prendre part 15 tiradors procedents de 4 nacions diferents. La competició consistí en 10 sèries disputades, amb dos trets en cadascuna d'elles. El cérvol apareixia a 110 iardes del tirador durant 4 segons. En ell hi havia pintat una diana, amb tres cèrcols concèntrics, que equivalien a 4, 3 i 2 punts. Fora de la diana el valor era un punt, empre i quan no fos a l'anca. La puntuació màxima possible era de 80 punts. (ca)
- The men's double-shot 100 meter running deer competition was one of 15 shooting sports events on the Shooting at the 1908 Summer Olympics programme. A deer-shaped target made 10 runs of 75 feet (22.86 meters), with the shooter firing two shots during each run. The runs lasted about 4 seconds each and took place 110 yards (100.584 meters) distant from the shooter. There were three concentric circles on the target, with the smallest counting for 4 points, the middle for 3, and the outermost for 2. A hit outside the circles but still on the target (except on the haunch) counted for 1 point. The maximum possible score was thus 80 points. Each nation could enter up to 12 shooters. (en)

W zawodach uczestniczyło 15 zawodników z 4 państw. Każdy zawodnik oddał 20 strzałów do sylwetki jelenia z odległości 110 jardów. Cel w kształcie jelenia wykonywał 10 przebiegów o długości 75 stóp każdy. Każdy przebieg trwał 4 sekundy. Na sylwetce oznaczone były trzy okręgi. Za trafienie w sam środek przyznawano 4 punkty, za większy 3 punkty i za największy 2 punkty. Trafienie w cel, ale poza okręgi był nagradzany 1 punktem.
