- Partit Laborista Escocès (anglès Scottish Labour Party SLP) és nom amb què el Partit Laborista Britànic opera a Escòcia. Durant molts anys ha estat el principal partit d'Escòcia i ha col·laborat des dels anys seixanta a les victòria dels laboristes a nivell nacional, a cada elecció al Parlament europeu des de 1979 i a dues de les tres eleccions al Parlament escocès. Actualment tenen dos dels 7 escons del Parlament Europeu, 46 de 129 a l'escocès i 39 dels 59 escons escocesos al Parlament britànic. El Partit Laborista fou creat el 1909 i sempre tingué gran acceptació electoral a Escòcia. Des que començaren les campanyes a favor de la ‘’Devolution'’ hi participà activament i també en la amb els Liberal Demòcrates Escocesos, el Partit Verd Escocès, sindicats i esglésies, i va fer campanya a favor del Sí al . A les eleccions al Parlament escocès de 1999 es presentaren amb Donald Dewar i fou el partit més votat, davant el Partit Nacional Escocès d'Alex Salmond amb 56 escons. Però no assoliren la majoria absoluta i hagueren de pactar amb els per a formar l'Executiu escocès. Així, el 13 de maig de 1999 Dewar fou nomenat primer ministre d'Escòcia al Palau de Holyroodhouse, i va rebre el . El maig de 2000 Dewar deixà tres mesos el càrrec per una afecció cardíaca i l'octubre patí una hemorràgia cerebral que li va causar la mort. El seu successor, , hagué de dimitir el 8 de novembre de 2001 per un escàndol de finançament il·legal del partit, El succeí . A les eleccions al Parlament escocès de 2007 McConnell fou criticat pel seu poc protagonisme dins el partit, al contrari que el cap del SNP. Després de la derrota electoral, va dimitir. El 17 de setembre de 2007 fou nomenada cap del grup al Parlament escocès. Però a finals de novembre es va veure implicada en un escàndol per donacions al partit del magnat Paul Green, que manté residència a Jersey (és il·legal acceptar donatius d'algú que no està inscrit al cens electoral britànic). Tanmateix, el febrer de 2008 en fou exculpada. Alexander va dimitir el 28 de juny de 2008, pressionada per aquest afer i per la seva posició en la convocatòria d'un referèndum per a la independència d'Escòcia. L'u d'agost fou nomenat nou cap del partit , antic ministre d'empreses escocès. El 13 d'agost celebraren eleccions parcials a Glenrother Fife per la mort del diputat laborista electe, . - Scottish Labour (Scottish Gaelic: Pàrtaidh Làbarach na h-Alba, Scots: Scots Labour Pairty; officially the Scottish Labour Party) is a social democratic political party in Scotland. It is an autonomous section of the UK Labour Party. From their peak of holding 56 of the 129 seats at the first Scottish parliament election in 1999, the Party has lost seats at each Holyrood election, returning 22 MSPs at the 2021 election. The party currently holds one of 59 Scottish seats in the UK House of Commons, with Ian Murray having represented Edinburgh South continuously since 2010. Throughout the later decades of the 20th century and into the first years of the 21st, Labour dominated politics in Scotland; winning the largest share of the vote in Scotland at every UK general election from 1964 to 2010, every European Parliament election from 1984 to 2004 and in the first two elections to the Scottish Parliament in 1999 and 2003. After this, Scottish Labour formed a coalition with the Scottish Liberal Democrats, forming a majority Scottish Executive. More recently, especially since the 2014 Scottish independence referendum, the party has suffered significant decline; losing ground predominantly to the pro-independence Scottish National Party, who advocate Scottish independence from the United Kingdom. Scottish Labour experienced one of their worst defeats ever at the 2015 general election. They were left with a sole seat in the House of Commons, Edinburgh South, and lost 40 of its 41 seats to the SNP. This was the first time the party had not dominated in Scotland since the Conservative Party landslide in 1959. At the 2016 Scottish Parliament election, the party lost 13 of its 37 seats, becoming the third-largest party after being surpassed by the Scottish Conservatives. At the 2017 general election, Scottish Labour improved their fortunes and gained six seats from the SNP, bringing its total seat tally to seven and winning a 27% share of the vote. This was the first time since the 1918 general election, 99 years previously, that Labour had finished in third place at any general election in Scotland. Overall, the 2017 general election marked the first time in twenty years that the Labour Party had made net gains in the UK at any election. The success was short-lived, however, and at the 2019 general election, Labour lost all new seats gained two years earlier, and again were left with Edinburgh South as their only Scottish seat in the House of Commons. Ian Murray has served as the MP for the constituency since 2010, and is currently one of Scotland's longest-serving MPs. The 2019 general election was Labour's worst result nationally in 84 years, with their lowest share of the vote recorded in Scotland since the December 1910 general election. The 2021 Scottish Parliament election saw Labour decline even further, achieving their lowest number of seats in Holyrood since devolution in 1999; with 22 MSPs returned to the Scottish Parliament. Despite this, Anas Sarwar remained as leader. The 2022 Scottish local elections resulted in Labour gaining 20 seats across Scottish local councils, with a slight increase in their share of the vote. However, Labour was criticised in the aftermath of the elections for pledging to do no deals or partake in coalitions with the Scottish National Party or the Scottish Greens. Instead, Labour chose to work with the Conservatives and Liberal Democrats to form minority administrations in several cases. I laburisti detengono 23 seggi su 129 al Parlamento scozzese e due dei sei seggi scozzesi al Parlamento europeo. Con le elezioni generali del 2017 il partito ottenne 7 seggi, conquistando il 27,1% dei voti, migliorando quindi la propria performance ma rimanendo comunque il terzo partito dietro al SNP e ai Conservatori. Alle ultime elezioni generali del 2019 il partito è tornato ad eleggere un solo deputato, finendo al quarto posto per la prima volta dal 1918 e la percentuale di voto è scesa al 18,6%, la più bassa dal 1910. Fundado em 1900, os trabalhistas escoceses tornaram-se, em 1906, o partido irmão do Partido Trabalhista na Escócia. A nível eleitoral, a partir da década de 1920, o partido tornou-se o mais popular na Escócia, sendo, constantemente, o mais votado nas eleições nacionais e regionais, mas, nos últimos anos, os trabalhistas têm perdido para influência para o Partido Nacional Escocês, algo realçado nas eleições gerais britânicas de 2015, em que os trabalhistas elegeram, apenas, 1 deputado na Escócia.
