- Santo Árbol de la Cruz era un fuerte construido en 1585 por el Gobernador de Chile Alonso de Sotomayor. Se encontraba al norte de la entrada del Río Huaqui en el Río Biobío cerca de la estación de tren moderno y el pueblo de , cerca de Los Ángeles, Región del Biobío, Chile. En este sitio los Jesuitas establecieron una misión en que fue abandonada a la expulsión de los jesuitas en 1767. Resistió los ataques que destruyeron la mayoría de los fuertes durante la rebelión general mapuche de 1599 y sirvió como parte del dispositivo creado luego por el gobernador Alonso de Ribera para fijar la frontera en el Río Biobío. In this site, the Jesuits established a residence, in the settlement of that was abandoned upon the expulsion of the Jesuits in 1767. It resisted the attacks that destroyed most of the forts during the Mapuche general rebellion of 1599 and served as part of the device later created by Governor Alonso de Ribera to set the border on the Biobío River.
