SS Charles Carroll was a Liberty ship built in the United States during World War II. She was named after Charles Carroll, a wealthy Maryland planter and an early advocate of independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain and one of the signers of the United States Declaration of Independence. He is one of the Founding Fathers of the United States and served as a delegate to the Continental Congress and Confederation Congress.
