- Rutili Claudi Namacià (llatí: Rutilius Claudius Namatianus; fl. segle v) va ser un poeta romà, destacable per la seva obra De Reditu Suo («Sobre el seu retorn») en dístics elegíacs, que descriu un viatge en vaixell per la costa des de Roma a la Gàl·lia l'any 417. (ca)

Elegickým distichem v ní líčí plavbu z Itálie do Galie v roce 416. Skladba bývá považována za poslední pohanské básnické dílo vzniklé v té době jíž skoro plně křesťanském Římě. Er ist bekannt als Autor des lateinischen Gedichts De reditu suo in elegischer Metrik, in dem eine Seereise entlang der Küsten von Rom nach Gallien im Jahr 416 beschrieben wird. Die literarische Qualität des Werks und das Licht, das es auf diese bedeutende, aber quellenarme Epoche wirft, geben ihm außergewöhnliche Bedeutung unter den Resten spätrömischer Literatur. Das Gedicht umfasste zwei Bücher, die Einleitung zum ersten und der größere Teil des zweiten sind jedoch verloren. Was bleibt, umfasst rund 700 Verse. (de)
- Claudio Rutilio Namaciano fue un poeta galo de principios del siglo V. Proveniente del sur de la Galia, llegó a ser prefecto en las regiones italianas de Toscana y Umbría. Su única obra conocida es el poema De reditu suo libri duo del que sólo se conserva una parte. Fue escrito hacia el año 420. En él habla sobre la grandeza y el antiguo esplendor de Roma y, además, critica acerbamente el Cristianismo. (es)

- Rutilius Claudius Namatianus (fl. 5th century) was a Roman Imperial poet, best known for his Latin poem, De reditu suo, in elegiac metre, describing a coastal voyage from Rome to Gaul in 416. The solid literary quality of the work, and the flashes of light it throws across a momentous but dark epoch of history, combine to give it exceptional importance among the relics of late Roman literature. The poem was in two books; the exordium of the first and the greater part of the second have been lost. What remains consists of about seven hundred lines. Whether Rutilius had converted to Christianity, which was well established as the state church of the Roman Empire during his time, has been a matter of scholarly debate. In the early 21st century, editors of his work concluded that he had not, and Alan Cameron, a leading scholar of Late Antiquity, agrees that he "probably" remained unconverted from Rome's traditional religious practices, but that his hostility was not to Christianity as it was practiced by the vast majority of citizens of the Empire, but rather against the total renunciation of public life advocated by the ascetics. Przez pewien czas piastował urzędy w Rzymie, jednak po najeździe Wizygotów powrócił do Galii. Swoją podróż opisał w poemacie O powrocie (De reditu suo). Z dwóch ksiąg dzieła jedynie pierwsza zachowała się w całości. Pisany wierszem elegijnym opis morskiej podróży przetykany jest licznymi dygresjami, w których Namatianus m.in. wyraża swoją miłość do ojczyzny i krytykuje chrześcijańskich mnichów. (pl)
