- El mataparents o matagent (Boletus satanas, del llatí boletus: bolet; satanas: dimoni) és un bolet tingut popularment per molt tòxic, essent el sol verinós en la família dels boletus com indica el seu nom, però no és pas dels bolets més perillosos. La seva ingestió provoca trastorns gastrointestinals, amb vòmits i diarrees, que es manifesten poc després del seu consum. És aquest el bolet que figura en la foto de la coberta. No s'ha de confondre els "mataparents", una sèrie de boletus comestibles, con ara el , el o similars, amb el "matagent". Hi ha la falsa creença popular que qualsevol boletus que es torna blau en tallar-se, és tòxic. Altres matagent també tòxics similars són el , que és més petit, amb el marge del barret de color rosa violaci, i els porus completament grocs; i el , que té el barret de color rosa lilós i els porus vermells. Es troben als mateixos hàbitats que Boletus satanas. (ca)

It was known as Boletus satanas before its transfer to the new genus Rubroboletus in 2014, based on molecular phylogenetic data. Found in broad-leaved and mixed woodland in the warmer regions of Europe, it is classified as a poisonous mushroom, known to cause gastrointestinal symptoms of diarrhea and violent vomiting. The squat, brightly coloured fruiting bodies are often massive and imposing, with a pale, dull-coloured velvety cap up to 30 cm (12 in), extraordinarily 40 cm (16 in), very rarely 50 cm (20 in) across, yellow to orange-red pores and a bulbous red-patterned stem.
